I went up to RAF Lakenheath, an American airbase in Suffolk, on the 19th & 20th of December.

On the 19th, although I left in bright sunshine, I got to Lakenheath which was absolutely fog-bound. I waited around for a while to see if there was any sign of the fog lifting before returning home.
I had more luck the following day as Suffolk was bathed in some nice winter sun giving opportunities for some nice lighting on the jets.

All the following photographs, except the ice-bound fence, were taken with a Sigma 50-500mm zoom lens.
